BOSNIA

 FEBRUARY 9, 2010

We hope that you are doing well. You are always in our hearts and prayers. We are thankful to God for you. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers.

Project of Evangelization through teaching English finished in Saturday. The last team members left home in Sunday. Lot of people had chance for the first time to hear about Jesus. We are again remained that people in Bosnia have very negative picture about Christian and that they practically have no idea what Bible says about Jesus. We had a lot of conversations during which we shared about our faith. All of our participants have very good impressions and it is also one of results of this course. When someone speaks badly about us, there are 120 new people who will say that they were our guests and that they have good opinion about us. More important is that number of them came to our services. Around 40 of them decided to continue to go to English lessons (once a week) that will be followed with coffee/tea time and after that with short class and discussion. We are planning to start with classes that are focused on Biblical moral standards and to speak more and more about importance of faith in Jesus. Big number of our participants are University Students in Tuzla who are from other parts of Bosnia. So, we see this as open doors for areas that are very radical and until now completely closed for Gospel. Praise to God for that.

During the last two weeks we were not following news. Now, we just realized that there was big police action against Muslim radicals in village Gornja Maoca (around 80 km from Tuzla). Police found a lot of weapon and materials for radical propaganda. It looks that they were trying to influence the rest of Muslims in north-east Bosnia. Please pray for peace in Bosnia.

From this week we are continuing with Evangelization through English. We will have two groups every Monday and two groups every Wednesday. Please keep it in your prayers.

Grandparents are doing very well. Martina is doing well in school. Zeljko and I are also doing very well.

 God bless you!

Lot of love and greetings from

January 25, 2010

Thank you for being with us in prayer. In Saturday we started the biggest evangelization project in our church ever. Saturday was the day for initial testing and we had more than 120 non Christian people who came to our church. Thanks to God from the first day we started to have very good relation with participants. We also had some very good questions and conversations. Among participants we also had some very conservative Muslim people and we hope that they will also continue to come to program. Please continue to keep us in prayer. Our days are starting very early and we are coming back home around midnight. Pray that God gives us wisdom and strength. Also, please pray for all participants to have open hearts for Gospel. I will attach several pictures from initial testing.

God bless you!

Lot of love and greetings from Lela

January 16, 2010

In one week we will start with two weeks of Evangelization through teaching English Language. We already have 58 participants who applied for course. It looks that we will have around 100 non Christians who will come to course and with who we will have chance to speak about God. The most of participants are students. We pray that God will open their hearts. Please be with us in prayer for all participants and for our church members and friends who will help us during the course. Course will start in January 23rd and it will finish in February 7th. During that time we will have several different programs and it will be very busy time. I will send updates, so that you can pray for specific things. Thank you for being with us in prayer.

Martina has chicken pox. Yesterday and today she had fever. Doctor said that it will take around 10 days. She was suppose to start with new school semester in Monday, so it looks that she will have one week longer winter break. Grandparents, Zeljko and I are doing well.

God bless you! Lot of love and greetings from Lela
