In Memory
of Bill
who went home to be
with his Lord March 8th, 2005.
Bill, we love and miss you
very much. Bill was a loving and devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and
Friend.
We have a lot of good
memories. He was loved by so many. A loving and caring person was
he. He was always willing to help others. He loved his Lord, family
and others. We can rejoice knowing we will see him again someday.
He is with the one he loves
and served. He would say God is in Control and he rests in him, no matter
what.
Love May Ann, Family and Friends

Madison
Paige Franklin ,
October 30, 1999 –
November 16, 2002
In loving memory of
our precious Madison . . .
In her
three years with us, she taught her family and those who knew her what it meant
to love unconditionally. Once you met her, she
captured your heart. Her bright blue eyes, that mischievous smile, her bouncy blonde curls, her amazing intellect, and her zest for
life are only a few of the things that make us smile as we remember Madison. Praise
God that during the last year and a half of Madison’s
life, I had the privilege of taking my sweet Grandbaby to Sunday School and Church, as
well as to Wednesday night activities. Madison knew about Jesus and loved to sing about
and praise Him. She also loved her church family, who has been so supportive to us during this sad
and difficult time.
Thank
you, Madison, for bringing everyone so much joy. We love and miss you every day.
Although we don’t understand why you had to leave
us, we look forward to the day we
will be at home in heaven with you. But
until then,
I pray that the Holy
Spirit will strengthen my faith and help
me to give glory to God through all things.

Velma Cundiff Letter from the Cundiff
Family, September 29, 2002
Dear Friends,
Velma Belle
Miller Cundiff was born to Margaret and Ralph Miller on June 5, 1920 in Ava
county Missouri. Her family
moved to Long Beach, California when she was three. It was there that she met and married on
March 30, 1941.
She loved art and has chalk pictures in
many homes where her husband ministered: Roanoke, and Salem, VA., Beaver
City, and Arapahoe, NE., Spokane and Wapato Washington, and Albany, Oregon.
Her life was wrapped around the church.
She began teaching Sunday School at the age of 16 and continued as long as
she was able to do so.
She had a
Bachelors Degree in Art from Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington where she was an
Associate Professor. She also earned a teaching certificate from The Bible Institute of Los
Angeles.
She was an elementary school teacher and
retired after 30 years of teaching.
She had 2
daughters: Marlene Byers of Pierceton, Indiana, and Margaret Gatherum from Lynchburg, Virginia.
She passed away on September 28, 2002 at
Miller's Merry Manor at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 23 days.
Yoder, and Allen Cass.
The Cundiff Family
Velma was always active in
children's ministry, including Vacation Bible School, as
well as women's ministry and playing the piano, and chalk
drawings. Dayton Cundiff
was WHGBC pastor 1967-1971. After ministry in other churches,
they semi-retired to Roanoke in the 1980s and attended WHGBC. Velma resumed many of her former
ministries, and Dayton taught adult Sunday School. In the 1990s, they moved to Winona
Lake, IN, where Velma's failing health required her to live at Grace
Village. Dayton visited Velma daily to assist in her care. They are survived
by two daughters, Margaret and Marlene, and three grandsons.
