PRAY TOWARD
THE GLORY OF OUR TRIUNE GOD (Feb 5-Feb 11)
Praise God:
Kid’s Club went GREAT! Kids from last
week came and even others! Praise the Lord! Pray over the seeds of the
Word!
Remember to Pray toward the Glory of God
as you consider Steve Bailey’s top prayer requests for Latin America:
-
For Kevin and Holly High, from
Manheim, PA. GBC. The Lord has led them
and their three young children here for ministry alongside of us.
Please pray for a good settling-in
process. Good adjustment for their children to Argentine schools. I
remember how terribly painful and difficult it was to send our kids
off to a school where they didn’t understand anything or anyone.
-
For wisdom as we determine ministry activities for the Highs. The
plan is for them to spend 1-2 years of training here and then move
out to another country or another area of
Argentina.
-
For wisdom as we determine a ministry destination for Jeff and
Nancy Bowman. These dear folks have been here for a year and are now
ready to move out into the next stage of ministry done with formal
language study and into the world. There are a couple of good places
from which to choose to send them and those are always the toughest
decisions to make choosing between better and best.
-
Pray that he will also raise up more
workers from
Latin America to team up with these folks who are coming and
beginning to arrive! Lots of stuff is happening in
Latin America and
we need your prayers.
Consider the lack of worship God is
receiving in Roanoke and pray for our labor in the work of the Gospel:
For God to give us boldness to
fearlessly share God’s law with co-workers and to proclaim the Gospel of
God’s grace.
Wisdom for Doug and Anne as they
minister to the kids ages 6-11 in Kids Club *3nd class of
series today! Also, pray for the kids: Brian,
Jacob, Garret, Chelsie, Chris, Kala, Tye, James, Jade and Krystal.
Paul handed out a sermon (on CD):
“Hell’s Best Kept Secret”; pray for God to deepen our understanding of
His Holiness (as reflected in the Law) and the purpose of the Law as
well our responsibility to witness.
For God to graciously appoint
opportunities to witness to our neighbors, co-workers, fellow students,
friends and family.
For God to give Kevin, Don and Paul
wisdom concerning how to best train us in the work of sharing the
gospel.
For PRAYER would take an extremely
important place in the work of the gospel amongst us; we are powerless
without it

affections and guide their prevalent passions toward Himself and His
Son.
For God to grace them with clearer
vision and insight concerning His Holiness.

love toward their wives, children and the saints at Washington Heights.
For God to quicken their hearts to put
on the armor of God so that they may stand strong against the snares of
the enemy

God to enlarge our hearts with greater
passion toward individual and corporate prayer (glorifying Him by
